As a non-profit, membership organization, the Silicon Trust’s mission is;

“To stimulate the understanding, adoption, use and widespread acceptance of silicon-based security solutions in a variety of applications.”

This will be achieved by:

• The development and implementation of marketing and education programs.
• Bringing together, in an open environment, leading users and technologists from the public and private sectors with industry and government decision makers.
• Educating end customers about the effective levels of security.
• Members meeting to exchange ideas, discuss common topics and work together to develop and expand the marketing of benefits and the use of silicon-based security solutions.
• Identifying new projects, new programs and new technical trends in new geographic regions and market segments to yield a potential fiscal return on investment from the program.
• Becoming a central repository of all support material for the focus application areas.

We have created three distinct membership levels – Associate, Partner and Executive and each come with their own level of involvement, entitlements and privileges. The program has also created an ‘Advisory Council’ represented by the BSI (German Federal Office for Information Security) to help advise and steer the program as it engages a greater and more influential audience.
